The Library since its establishment in the Indian Museum plays a vital role to study the art objects, as also to interpret and communicate their values to the people. To study our cultural heritage, to know perfectly our past and for its further interpretation, the Indian Museum Library acquires books on art, archaeology, epigraphy, museology, history, anthropology, and various interdisciplinary reference books, dictionaries, catalogues, and subject-wise professional journals and other allied subjects of science and humanities to disseminate information to all categories of users belonging to readers, researchers, scholars. Satisfying all types of readers, the Library is modified and introduced with modern equipments, techniques and methodology providing right information as and when needed. The Library is presently providing Libsys Software for the preparation of bibliographical records as per MARC 21 standard including the following services.
