Applications are invited from the citizens of India for the post of Security Officer, Indian Museum, Kolkata in the scale of Rs. 8000-275-13500/- plus usual allowances. Period of probation will be two years.

Re-employment : 
Ex-Emergency Commissioned Officers or Short Service Commissioned Officers or Retired Defence Services Officers of the rank of Captain in the Army or equivalent.
(Re-employment upto the age superannuation with reference to civil Posts).

OR

Transfer of Deputation : 
Deputy Superintendents of Police with 2 years' service in the grade or Inspectors of Police with 8 years' service in the grade, from Central Government or State Govenment.
(Period of deputation shall not ordinarily exceed 3 years).

Applications shall be sent on plain typed paper indicating the (i) Name (in block letters), (ii) Father’s name, (iii) Nationality, (iv) Present and permanent address, (v) Date of birth, (vi) Age as on 01.01.2006, (vii) Educational and other technical qualifications, (viii) Details of experiences, (ix) Present post held, if any, and the total emoluments drawn in the present scale of pay, (x) Employment Exchange Registration No. / Army Code No. / Rank No., (xi) Date of retirement from the past service [enclose discharge certificate], (xii) Whether Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe (A certificate in support of the candidate belonging to Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe category issued by a competent authority notified by the Govt. of India will have to be furnished by the candidate along with the application.), along with attested copies of relevant testimonials / certificates etc. Candidates (Ex-servicemen) employed in Government / Semi-Government / Autonomous bodies should apply through proper channel with an advance copy to the address mentioned below.
